Greetings
Laina is an experienced Registered Nurse, specializing in Neonatal ICU. Laina started her nursing career as a staff nurse 10 years ago, with additional experience in both leadership and management. Laina ventured into travel nursing prior to and at the height of the pandemic. Starting her career as a Per Diem | PRN Princess in 2022 whilst travel nursing, Laina is now transitioning from the bedside in hopes of graduating with her Neonatal Nurse Practioner degree. Laina prides herself on spreading awareness in regards to racial disparities, inequalities, and microaggressions in healthcare.
My Story
Meet the Owner, Laina B., aka @TheeNomadNurse. Laina is originally from Austin, Tx, the music capitol of the world, and now resides in Houston, Tx. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in English at the University of Texas at Arlington and obtained a Bachelors is Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Tx.

Laina found love and compassion in caring for the tiny feet of micro-preemies and very ill children under 2 years old. Even with the influence of an amazing nursing career, Laina desired and expected so much more in life. Laina surrounded herself with meditation and spirituality, and traveled to places solo with research and confidence. The love of travel and work-life balance intrigued Laina as she set sail as a travel nurse during the height of the pandemic. Now, Laina aims to assist nurses in gaining independence through affirmation, career advancement, and promoting work-life balance.
